Short walkthroughs of AI systems I built and shipped for clients - what the problem was, how I solved it, and the result.

10x faster and reliable: rebuilding a client's AI agent as a team of agents

A client's AI agent for staffing agencies took over a minute to respond and broke roughly one time in ten with a malformed-JSON error. The client wanted me to "fix the prompt" - but the prompt was never the problem. It was architecture: one agent carrying too much work.

From 'obviously AI' to 0% on AI detectors: human-sounding content for a client

A Denmark-based health and well-being company used AI to write blog posts and hated the quality - it read like AI, and it was in Danish, which AI handles poorly out of the box. I built a blog-writing tool around one insight: if a human can imitate AI's style, AI can imitate one specific human's style.

An AI agent that finds leads by reading every Google review

A SaaS founder serving hotel renovation contractors wanted to find leads with AI. Even ChatGPT refused to read Google reviews - his plan was to hire people to read and categorize each one by hand.

A ChatGPT-style candidate search inside a staffing agency's WordPress site

A staffing agency wanted a better way for employers to find candidates than scrolling through endless filters. I added a ChatGPT-style search widget to their WordPress site: employers type what they want in plain language and instantly see matching candidates.

AI Legal RAG Agent + Document Automation | 89,600-Section Law Corpus

AI Legal RAG Agent + Document Automation | 89,600-Section Law Corpus

An architecture firm in Oslo spends a lot of its day answering questions that have exact answers somewhere in Norwegian building law. How close to the neighboring boundary can this extension sit. What does the zoning plan allow on this plot. The answers exist, they are just buried across 89,600 sections.

Custom MCP Server | Forked & Rewritten for AI Agents (93 commits)

A recruitment SaaS wanted one thing to work end to end: paste a job vacancy, and get a running ad campaign out the other side. The agent writes the copy, builds branded creatives, and launches with employment-category targeting locked in, which that platform requires for job ads.

Pest Control AI Agent | SMS Sales, CRM & Payments

Pest Control AI Agent | SMS Sales, CRM & Payments

Most US pest control companies run their entire business inside FieldRoutes or PestPac. Those systems hold the customer, the route and the billing. If a sales tool cannot write back into them, somebody re-types every deal by hand, and that is usually where the deal dies.

Shopify AI Sales Agent | SMS Cart Recovery & Checkout

Abandoned cart emails mostly say the same thing: here is your cart, please come back. They do not answer the question that made the person leave in the first place.

LLM-as-Judge Evaluation Framework | 1,360 Scored in 18s

LLM-as-Judge Evaluation Framework | 1,360 Scored in 18s

A Solana AI hackathon had 1,360 submissions and several prize categories, one of them worth $500,000. Reading all of that by hand is weeks of work, and by the time you finish, the judging is inconsistent because nobody scores project 1,300 the way they scored project 12.

AI Reporting Agents | Claude & Anthropic API | Slack Analytics

A fitness brand with more than 150,000 users had the usual reporting problem. The dashboards existed, and nobody read them. What the team actually wanted was somebody to look at the numbers each morning and say what changed and what to do about it.

Shopify AI Pipeline | Supplier CSVs to Live Listings

Every supplier sends product data in its own format, and none of them match. Someone has to reconcile all of that into listings, in the right language, for each storefront. It is the kind of work that quietly eats a person's week, every week.

AI Custom Sock Designer | WooCommerce Plugin + AI Image Gen

An Australian custom-sock brand had a problem that sounds small and is not. Customers had to describe the socks they wanted in a text box and then wait, with no idea what they would get. Plenty of them did not bother finishing the order.

AI Appointment Agent | SMS Lead Qualify + Calendly Book

Chasing leads by text is a job nobody enjoys and most people do badly. The follow-ups go out late, or they keep going out after the person has already booked, which is worse than not following up at all.

What clients say

Full client interview

"You were directly pointing to the issue that I experienced."

Ove André Remme, Founder, Terapivakten

Read the interview transcript

What's your line of work?

My name is Ove André Remme. I'm located in Norway, near Oslo, and I'm the CEO of Terapivakten and Terapivakten Kurs og Kompetanse, and a treatment manager. We deliver therapeutic services to clients in Norway, along with digital courses, lectures, and talks for companies - drug-prevention and mental-health prevention courses, and therapeutic interventions. So it's an important line of work, in the healthcare industry.

Walk me through how you chose me to work with.

I have around 10 years of experience working with different freelancers through Upwork. That experience has been variable - some have been really bad, some good. But choosing you, Vlad, actually came out of failing first with someone else. I posted a project - a course builder that could create course lessons in a streamlined way - and around 30 people wanted to help. I first tried a guy who did some work building a ChatGPT agent, and I noticed Vlad's message: "You cannot make this through a chat agent, you need to do it this way." At first I thought, that's a cocky message. But eventually he was right - the ChatGPT agent the other freelancer built didn't work well enough. It didn't create long enough lessons, it sounded like AI, a lot of things just didn't fall right. So I went back to this cocky Ukrainian guy and said, "Hey, can you help me with this?" And that's how the new AI course builder started.

What impressed you most - what did I do differently?

It was your honesty. You were directly pointing to the issue that I experienced. And your patience with me. You were always communicative - I could contact you in the evening, the morning, whatever, and you were always there. You streamlined the whole process, you updated the application, you were really service-minded, focused on the solution rather than all the problems. And you gave hope and faith that this would be a perfect application eventually. It wasn't perfect from the very start - AI likes to make mistakes and hallucinate - but you perfected it along the way, finding the root cause of each issue so it wouldn't happen again. It was already better than what I had before, and you kept improving it.

What would you say to recommend me to others looking for AI services?

I would say: if you want a really responsible, serious, experienced guy who is service-minded, kind, polite, and always available, you'll go for Vlad. He knows what he's talking about.

"I've worked with Vlad for almost 2 years on Sellify AI and he did an outstanding job. Vlad knows his craft well and was able to handle complex engineering tasks independently. He is quick to learn new things and adapts fast when requirements change (and in startups, they almost always change). I'm glad we had him on the team!"
